About Scothern Players
Bringing theatre to the heart of the village.
Our Story
Scothern Players are an adult amateur dramatic society based in Scothern, Lincolnshire. We aim to put on two productions a year, usually comedies or farces.
We were established in [year] after a few friends, having consumed a glass of wine or two in the local hostelry, The Bottle and Glass, thought it would be ‘a bit of a laugh’. Nearly 40 years later and some of those friends are still active members and the society has gone from strength to strength, welcoming many new members, winning multiple awards along the way and are now firmly entrenched in the locality.
What We Do
We warmly welcome new members, not just those who want to tread the boards, but anyone who wants to have a go at all the other essential roles, such as directing, stage management, wardrobe, front of house, tech etc.
